ImpactHIV
It has been thirty years since the first cases of HIV gained the attention of the world; over that time more than 56,000 people in the United States alone have become infected with HIV each year and over 570,000 Americans have lost their lives to complications of AIDS. Currently, there are more than 1.1 million Americans living with HIV. Almost half of all Americans know someone living with HIV and those numbers are growing.
HIV is not going away and affects every member of the community. Meae Wellness formerly Clarksville Area Ministers Technical Assistance Network (CAMTAN) is committed to providing not only economical care but also social change. New advancements are being seen every day, but more work is needed to be done to change the stigma associated with HIV that affects people directly affected by the virus. We believe knowledge is the best tool to achieve this goal and along with visible leadership, we can change the mindset of the community.

The ImpactHIV program raises awareness about HIV and its impact on the lives of all Americans, and fights stigma by showing that persons with HIV are real people—mothers, fathers, friends, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, partners, wives, husbands, and co-workers. We also work tirelessly to increase awareness of prevention techniques.
