We feel that the mission of True You Tennessee is long overdue."

True You Tennessee is the first of its kind in the area; working to provide at risk and homeless LGBTQ+ youth a voice of support in the community. True You Tennessee will be working to provide multiple programs to provide safe nonjudgmental resources for the community to combat homelessness among LGBTQ+ youth, with the ultimate goal of being able to provide temporary housing, a group home, and transitional housing for those preparing to leave the foster and group system. "Too many youth in the queer community have been forgotten by their families and their community." said True You Tennessee founder and Executive Director, Stephanie Lowe, when asked what gave her the drive to combat homelessness of LGBTQ+ youth: "We want to show them: they are not alone, and we support them." True You Tennessee is currently working to build their foundation and seek certification as a 501c3 charitable organization. "We have a ways to go, but the support of the community that is driving this organization is powerful," said Rachel Holder, President of True You Tennessee's Board of Directors.
